MATCH REPORT: HOLLINGTON UNITED

Rotherfield were on the receiving end of a 0-3 defeat this afternoon at the Recreation Ground.
Both sides had opportunities to take the lead early but either fortuitous defending or poor finishing kept the score line 0 - 0 for the first half an hour of the contest.
It was on the half hour mark, that John Sinclair conceded a freekick on the edge of the box. The free kick took a deflection off the defensive wall and keeper James Gurney was unable to stop the ball finishing in the net. 0-1 to Hollington
That's how it remained at the break. Rotherfield started the second half with intent especially when Connor Morrow received the ball 10 minutes after the restart and travelled towards the visitors goal to see his effort hit the bottom of the post.
Around the 65 minute mark, Hollington were awarded a throw, which was launched into the mix to eventually be nodded into the net. 0 - 2.
Not long after, Hollington were first to the ball from a Gurney goal kick. The ball fell in between both centre backs for the Hollington forward to slot his effort past Gurney. 0 - 3.
Rotherfield did have chances to get on the score sheet, notably man of the match Callum Ridley also hit the bar but the score stayed at 0 - 3 and the visitors returned to the coast with full honours.
