Tomorrow is Armistice Day when at 11am, when as a nation we stop for two minutes at the time when peace was declared in 1918, to remember those that served our country and didn't return.

Rotherfield FC did not go unscathed during the 1st World War with the majority of players not returning home. The two pictures are the two earliest known photographs of the club which had players that joined in September 1914, of which the names of some of the Rotherfield players are still associated with the village or the club today: Harman, Paige, Holmwood, Baldock to name a few.

Tomorrow, Rotherfield FC will remember those that served and made that the ultimate sacrifice for their country - Lest We Forget.
