Our teams marked Remembrance Sunday with 2 minutes silence prior to their kick offs today.
As well as teams showing respect to the fallen, one of our Under 7s, Leith, laid a wreath of poppies on behalf of Rotherfield Football Club at the Airman's Grave site on the Ashdown Forest.
This was in honour the "Green Boys" who were among the 24 men who enlisted in the Royal Sussex Regiment on 7th September 1914, as well as the many service personnel who fought in conflicts around the world.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
