Our reserves were on their travels yet again with a trip to the suburbs of Eastbourne. At least it was a sunny day.

However there were no buckets & spades for the lads as a much depleted squad rolled up their sleeves & battled to secure another win.

Behind very early in the match, Bowen’s battlers responded brilliantly & Lloyd Brazier equalised. All square at half time & all to play for.

The second half saw Bobbie Ridley, playing in goal this week (thanks Bobbie!) make a tremendous save & then Lewis Bowen (the better Bowen & baby sibling of the Gaffer) benefitted from great work by Brazier to score.

Half an hour remained but the experience in the visitors side shone brightly as they managed the game brilliantly to secure the win.

Special mention to Alex Watts who started his first game for about 3 years & lasted the full 90 mins! After the multiple serious injuries & months of rehabilitation in the last 5 seasons the fact he played a full game is testament to his mental fortitude, something quite a few others in the club whom were missing today could learn from.
