GROUNDS TEAM UPDATE

It was a beautiful day to do some serious work on the pitches today. The main pitch was dry enough to get machinery on it so we brushed to get rid of the millions of worm casts & then we used our deep slitter. Hopefully getting air into the surface will help.
Not much else was possible as other areas were still too wet for machinery, but we will get more done if we get a dry spell. Big IF though!
The surface of the French drain to the bottom pitch was manually cleared & we forked the mini pitches until our hands blistered!
A good effort from a small band of dedicated volunteers.
